Kidney Cancer Symptoms

Other related symptoms:

Blood in the urine. This symptom is the most popular one when it comes to kidney cancer. Other doctors will diagnose it as haematuria. However, 50% of those who have this kind of symptom, when they go to a doctor it is most likely related to kidney cancer.

Lump. The presence of a lump within the kidney area or any type of swelling being felt, it is advisable to go to a doctor and have it checked. There is a tendency that the doctor can't feel if there is a lump but kidney can be scan in order to determine if it's cancerous or not.

Treatments to kidney cancer (early stage) are the following:

Surgery. This treatment is good for stage 1 as well as stage 2 kidney cancer. These two types of kidney cancer are often cured by surgery. Even stage 3 can be cured only if all the cancerous cells have been removed from the body.

Radiotherapy. This treatment uses rays with high energy to kill cancer cells. Kidney cancer can't be cured using this treatment but this will help control the occurrence of bleeding as well as the pain.

Experimental treatments. This includes high intensity ultrasound, using heat to kill the tumor, and also freezing the tumor.
